Ovalumschrift „D[omi]N[us] PETRUS COMES DE GRIFFENFELD ET TONSBERG[,] MAGNUS REGNI DANIAE CANCELLARIUS[,] EQUES AURAT[us] ORD[inis] ELEPH. ET DANEBR. etc.“ In der Sockeloberkante „AEtat[is] XXXVIII. A[nno] C[hristi] MDCLXXV.“ [Darüber l. noch erkennbar die getilgte Angabe „Aetat. XXXVIII.“]. Im Sockel lat. Distichon von Thomas Bartholinus (1616–1680), damals kgl. Bibliothekar [A 950-953]: Pingitur hic facies. Divinae at munera mentis, / Orbis quae stupuit, pingere nemo potest. (Hier wird nur das Äußere abgebildet; die Gaben des göttlichen Geistes dagegen, die die Welt bestaunte, vermag niemand abzubilden). Kupferstich: <unter den Versen l.> Conr.
